Mad Beauty review:

Recently I was very kindly sent some of the Mad Beauty products* to try out so I thought I would share my thoughts on the products with you. Thank you so much to Mad Beauty as I really enjoyed using all of these products!

So the first thing I received was their Minnie sheet face mask which has rose water in it. I really liked this face mask as I naturally have quite red and sensitive skin this really helped to calm it down and give it a nice healthy glow.
Sometimes I find with sheet masks that they never fit properly and just slide off my face when I wear them but this one only didn't fit my forehead properly (I just folded it) and didn't slide at all.

I was also was sent the Animasks sheet face mask which has coconut oil in it. I naturally have oily skin so before using this mask I was slightly concerned that i would make my skin go really oily. However it added the perfect amount of moisture to my skin without making it go really greasy the next day. I found that it made my skin really soft and smooth and added a nice healthy glow.
This sheet mask also fit really well and didn't slide down my face at all.

I will definitely be repurchasing both of these masks as they both made my skin feel really nice afterwards and worked really well.

The final thing that I was sent was this cute tiger headband. I really like this as I think that is adorable and fits perfectly as it isn't too tight. I find that it is great for when I want to do a face mask or when I am doing my makeup in the morning as it keeps all my hair (including my baby hairs at the front) out of the way. I find that it makes it a lot easier for me to blend my makeup into my hairline as well.

I would highly recommend all of these products as they are all great quality and work really well.

If there are any other products you would like me to try out and review please leave them in the comments below.

5 blogging tips and tricks:

Today is my 2 year blog anniversary so I thought I would share with you the tips and tricks I've learnt over the time I have had my blog. Over the time I have had my blog it has definitely improved but I also hope to continue improving it as it has a long way to go.

1. Take photos by a window:
I think that for blog photos you don't need to go out and buy studio lights to get great pictures natural lighting works really well. I personally use natural lighting (I'm definitely not saying my photos are great aha) for my photos - I get a big piece of A3 white card and use it as a back drop and take my photos right next to a window to get the best lighting.

2. Edit your photos - it makes a massive difference:
I personally like to use Picmonkey (the app) to up the brightness, the contrast and the clarity and occasionally I use a blur on it or up the saturation if it looks really washed out. You don't want to over edit as it can sometimes look weird and not all pictures need editing. However editing them can definitely improve them.

3. Social media promotion is key:
I find that if I don't promote my posts on twitter I will get a very small amount of views compared to if I do promote it. Blogging is not all about the stats and the page views however if you have put a lot of effort into writing a post then you obviously want people to read it. I would definitely recommend just being active on twitter and other social media and tweeting when posts go up and stuff.

4. Only write about what your interested in:
Don't write posts that your not interested in and don't enjoy writing as your readers will be able to tell. Write about topics you think are important and don't just try and upload just for the sake of posting or trying to stick with a schedule. You are much better to blog when you feel like blogging and about something that is important or interesting to you as it means you are properly enjoying it rather than forcing posts.

5. Support other bloggers in the community:
Don't be that annoying person who follows just to straight away unfollow just to gain followers. Take the time to read and comment on bloggers posts and leave a comment that actually shows you read it. Also don't beg for people to go over to your blog just leave your link after your comment and they are much more likely to go over if you aren't begging for them too.

I really hope this post has been useful and if you are a blogger who has any other tips and tricks please leave them in the comments so that you can help someone else!

Summery Makeup Look:

Today I have an exciting post for you as this is a collab with the amazing Faye (I will leave all her links at the end so make sure you check them out). I will be sharing with you a summery makeup look that I have loved wearing almost everyday recently.

So firstly I prime my face with the Wet n wild Face Primer as it evens out my skin tone and brightens my face up.
Then I use my NYX studio photogenic concealer mixed with my Rimmel match perfection concealer under my eyes - I find this combination gives good coverage and brightens up my dark circles- I also use my Rimmel concealer on any spots or blemishes.
(I personally prefer not to wear BB cream or foundation during the summer as I find it doesn't work well with my skin during the summer)

I then set my face using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder and warm up my skin using the Physicians formula butter bronzer.
I also use a little bit of my bronzer on my eyes as a transition shade and then from my Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette I tend to use red ochre through my crease and outer corner and vermeer in my inner corner.
I then mix my NYX highlighter (in lavender steel) and my Elf one (in moonlight pearls) and use it to highlight my face.
And to finish the makeup look off I like to use my Sephora liquid lipstick in Pink tea (40) or my Mac lipstick in Velvet Teddy.

As I have recently brought a lot of makeup (mainly from when I went to America) please tell me if you would like to see a haul or reviews of some of the products.

Butter Bronzer Review:

Recently I went on holiday to America and I picked up a few makeup products to try out. One of the products I really wanted to try was the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer and I was able to find it - I brought it in Walmart. I have been trying it out for a while and I thought I would do a review and share my thoughts on it.

I have the bronzer in light and I have found it is a really good colour for me. As I am quite pale I find a lot of bronzers are way to dark and look really orange on me.
However this one has a nice amount of pigment to it - its not too pigment that you put too much on in one go but its pigmented enough that it adds a nice bit of colour to your skin.

I also like to use this through my crease when I'm not wearing eyeshadow as it adds a nice colour to my eyes.
This bronzer applies really nicely and blends out really easily. Throughout the day it sits on the skin really nicely and doesn't go patchy.

I love this bronzer and I think it is one of the best bronzers I have tried however the one thing I'm not the biggest fan of is the smell of it. It's meant to smell summery but to me it has a bit of an undertone of a bleach smell which I don't love. Aside from that though it is an amazing bronzer and I would highly recommend getting you hands on it if you can.

Body images:

I'm sorry I haven't been posting on here in ages but I really needed a break as I was so busy. I have decided I am just going to post when I want to and not try and force myself to stick to a schedule.

(I do not mean to offend anybody I just wanted to share my views - I am sorry if I offend you in anyway.)

Recently I've been thinking about how society tells men and women they have to look a certain way otherwise they are not considered beautiful. In magazines all the models have perfect skin and have the 'perfect' body and this can make many people feel like they have to be exactly like this.

Even young children are influenced to believe they have to look a certain way. Toys such as barbies have the 'perfect' body and in quite a few films women are skinny and men are strong and muscular. They start to create this image in young children heads that they have to be perfect otherwise they can't be beautiful.

I have seen many of the girls in my year at school struggle with how they look. They are all beautiful but society has made them feel like they aren't and that they have to change.

For me personally I never really used to care when I was younger however in the last few years I have always been very self-conscious of my body - I'm not as skinny as the other girls I know, I don't have perfect skin and I definitely don't feel pretty especially when I'm with them - this isn't their fault its just how I feel.
I love summer but more recently I have started to like it less as I hate wearing shorts as it shows more of my body. When I went on holiday I hated wearing swimming costumes because of the way I see myself.

I think that everyone in the world is beautiful as they are and shouldn't feel the need to change to conform to 'beauty standards'.

Please leave any of your thoughts in the comments - I would love to discuss it with you.
